Katie Price May Play Elvira in Vampire Movie

Digital Spy reports that UK glamour model Katie Price (aka Jordan) is going to reprise the role of Elvira in an upcoming vampire movie.

Elvira was an on-screen horror persona played by American actress Cassandra Peterson.

Producers of Elvira: Mistress of the Dark, a remake of the classic 1988 film, are keen for Price to star in the role made famous by American actress Cassandra Peterson.
"It's a very good time to be British in Hollywood and you can't fail to notice Jordan - she knows how to shine," an insider told the Daily Star. "Cassandra Peterson has been in talks about a remake for some time but didn't want to take on the role again herself, even thought she still appears as Elvira.
"Everyone was at a loss until they spotted Jordan on a gossip website. She just looks perfect and then they discovered she has a penchant for one-liners. She will have to lose the tan, though. And Cassandra's Elvira worked because of the mixture of her dark image and her Valley Girl wit - so Kate will have to learn an American accent."

It's one thing to look the part and another thing entirely to be able to act the part. It will be interesting to see if tabloid star Jordan can deliver both Eliva's accent and wit. She has made a number of tv appearances but she almost always plays herself.
