Posted on December 20, 2014
Katherine Jenkins sings the classic holiday song "Silent Night" in a newly released music video. The song is on her album, Home Sweet Home, which was released last month in the UK.
The first song from the album, "Dreaming Of The Days (Einaudi's I Giorni)" was released in October. "Silent Night" is not the only holiday song on Home Sweet Home. Katherine also wrote her own Hanukkah song for the album, called "8 Nights of Joy." She wrote the song with her husband. She told Billboard that she decided to write the song after learning there are not very many Hanukkah songs. Katherine also sang Christmas songs on her 2012 album, This Is Christmas.
The Welsh singer told ABC News, "Making this album has been an absolute dream. I am so thankful to be in a place where creativity is encouraged, classical music is understood and where I've been allowed to return to where my heart lies musically. This record is me at my most natural, my most authentic and I can't wait to share it with my very valued fans."
Katherine has an amazing voice. We loved her performance in the Doctor Who episode, "A Christmas Carol." She sang a song called "Abigail's Song" for the Doctor Who Christmas special. Here is Katherine singing "Silent Night:"
