British Foreign Secretary William Hague and Angelina Jolie, Special Envoy for the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, are the co-chairs of the Global Summit to End Sexual Violence in Conflict from June 10-13, 2014 at ExCel London. The event is the largest gathering on the subject of violence against women in wartime.
Forty-eight Foreign Ministers and over 600 government delegates from 113 countries, along with more than 100 NGOs are participating. Angelina kicked off the conference by discussing the women she and Minister Hague had met on their travels and how this conference was for them, the women who have had no justice after being raped. British fashion designer and activist Stella McCartney was a delegate to the event.
