Jeopardy Celebrates 50th Anniversary as Ratings Remain Strong

Jeopardy! is celebrating its 50th anniversary. The long-running game show was created by Merv Griffin. Griffin also composed the popular Jeopardy! song. The game show first aired on March 30, 1964. Alex Trebek has been host of the show since 1984 when it made its syndication debut. Past hosts of Jeopardy! have included Art Fleming, Don Pardo and John Harlan. The show remains extremely popular and average 25 million viewers each week according to Sony Pictures. Take a look:
