James Franco and Bryan Cranston Star in Why Him? Trailer

Bryan Cranston and James Franco star in the first trailer for the comedy Why Him?. Cranston plays Ned an overprotective dad who adores his daughter (Zoey Deutch). Ned, his wife (Megan Mullally) and their other child head to Silicon Valley to meet his daughter's new boyfriend Laird (James Franco). Laird is a tech billionaire who has no filter at all.
When Laird reveals he wants to propose, but Ned thinks he would be terrible son in law. The competition between Laird and Ned escalates over the holidays until it gets completely out of control. James Franco is hilarious as the out of control Laird, who gets the family's Christmas card tattooed on his back as a way to welcome them to his house.
Bryan Cranston is so talented at dramatic roles that we sometimes forget how flawless his comedy timing is. He is just a scream, whether he is gloating over beating Laird at bowling or running from Laird's drones.
The film was written and directed by John Hamburg (Meet the Fockers) and will hit theaters December 25, 2016. Take a look:
