Identity Thief Wins Weekend Box Office

Identity Thief has won the weekend box office. The comedy, starring Melissa McCarthy and Jason Bateman, made an impressive $34.5 million, at $11,000 per theater. Warm Bodies came in second and made $11 million during its second week in theaters. Side Effects had a solid opening and made $9.3 million.
Side Effects was followed by Silver Linings Playbook, which continues to remain in the top five during its 13th week in theaters. Next came Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters, Mama and Zero Dark Thirty. You can read the complete box office report here.
