Ice Age Four Wins Weekend Box Office

Ice Age: Continental Drift won the weekend box office with a take of $46 million. This was the fourth entry in the popular Ice Age franchise. Ice Age was followed by The Amazing Spider-Man, which made $35 million in its second weekend in theaters. This pushed it over the $200 million mark. It will not be long before The Amazing Spider-Man claims the #3 spot on the 2012 domestic grosses chart, behind The Avengers and The Hunger Games.
The Amazing Spider-Man was followed by Ted, Brave and Magic Mike. Brave is also edging very close to the $200 million mark at $196 million. You can see the complete box office report here.
