In 1880 London, half the women are suffering from the complaint of "hysteria." No one knows what it is, and no one knows how to cure it -- although there are theories. Hugh plays a young and forward-thinking doctor who gets hired by Dr. Dalrymple, London's leading specialist in women's medicine.
