Han Solo is Back in Second Star Wars Teaser Trailer

The second teaser trailer for Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens was released today as part of the big Star Wars Celebration in Anaheim, California. J.J. Abrams and some of the cast discussed the film, some of the characters.

We had assumed that the desert planet in the teaser trailer was Tatooine, but Abrams said it's called Jaku. This trailer opens on Jaku. We can see a huge Start Destroyer and an old X-Wing that have crashed. Mark Hamill does the voiceover as Luke. he is clearly discussing the Force and describing its importance to someone young -- possibly his son. Luke says, "The force is strong in my family. My father has it. I have it. My sister has it. You have that power too." A light saber is passed from hand to hand.

But the best part of the trailer is at the end. Han Solo (Harrison Ford) and Chewbacca are in the Millennium Falcon with weapons raised. Han says, "Chewie, we're home." Harrison, who is 72, looks good. He's clearly aged in the 32 years since the first film, but guess who hasn't? Chewie. That's right, the 230 year old Wookie doesn't even have one grey hair. He's looking pretty youthful.

J.J. Abrams was joined at the event by Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Daisy Ridley, Oscar Isaac and John Boyega. Abrams said that Harrison Ford is at home recovering from his plane crash, but will be up and around in time for the premiere. He called his crash landing heroic.

We learned that Daisy's character is a scavenger. She meets John's character on the desert planet and they join forces. Part of that scene is in the teaser trailer as Daisy reaches out her hand to John's character to help him up. The film is scheduled to hit theaters on December 18, 2015. Take a look:
