Emily Blunt stars in the trailer for The Girl on the Train, which is based on the bestselling novel by British author Paula Hawkins. Emily plays Rachel Watson, a divorcee who is not over her ex-husband Tom (Justin Theroux). As she slides further into alcoholism, she starts having blackouts and memory lapses. Although she lost her job, she takes the train into the city every day.
During her commute she daydreams about her ex and his new wife Anna (Rebecca Ferguson). She also thinks about a couple down the street who seem to have the perfect life -- Megan (Haley Bennett) and Scott Hipwell (Luke Evans). When Megan goes missing, Rachel remembers seeing something from the window of the train. But her memory is not what it once was and she's not sure what happened. She becomes involved in the investigation and starts to worry that she may have done something terrible.
The film was directed by Tate Taylor and also stars Laura Prepon, Edgar Ramirez, Allison Janney and Lisa Kudrow. It is set for release on October 7, 2016. Take a look:
