Ghostbusters Trailer: Melissa McCarthy, Leslie Jones and Kristen Wiig Battle Ghosts
Posted on March 3, 2016
The first trailer for Paul Feig's all-female The first Ghostbusters trailer has landed and it has some promising moments. The Paul Feig directed reboot stars Kristen Wiig as physicist Erin Gilbert, Melissa McCarthy as Abby Yates, a paranormal expert, Kate McKinnon as nuclear physicist Jillian Holtzmann, an engineer and Leslie Jones as Patty Tolan, and Chris Hemsworth as receptionist Kevin. The four women dive into action when paranormal activity explodes in New York City.
Paul Feig says that the story is a reboot, so New York City residents have no idea that they are about to be assaulted by ghosts. In the trailer we see the team come together to use science to fight ghosts, along with a new ride -- a refurbished Cadillac hearse -- and some cool new weapons.
It's hard to tell from a trailer, but it certainly looks funny. And the ghosts look simply amazing. The film also stars Sigourney Weaver, Bill Murray, Annie Potts, Dan Ackroyd, Andy Garcia and Cecily Strong. Take a look:
