Trailer for the James Brown Biopic, Get on Up

Here is the trailer for Get on Up, the story of the Godfather of Soul, James Brown. The film stars Chadwick Boseman, Viola Davis, Octavia Spencer, Nelsan Ellis, Lennie James, Tika Sumpter, Jill Scott and Dan Aykroyd.

The film is directed by Tate Taylor, who directed The Help. The biopic follows Brown from his childhood in which his mother walked out him and his father to his rise to become an international superstar of soul. The film is produced by Brian Grazer, Mick Jagger, Victoria Pearman and Erica Huggins. The film hits theaters August 1, 2014. Take a look:
