George Clooney and Julia Roberts Crash Gwen Stefani's Carpool Karoake Session

Posted on May 5, 2016

Gwen Stefani joined James Corden for a round of Carpool Karaoke. James wanted to know what her regime was for looking so young. She said it was all due to falling in love (with Blake Shelton). James said he would be sure to pass that on to his wife Gwen revealed her love of emojis and made each emoji face on command as James called out various emotions. But eggplant has a different meaning for James apparently. The duo sang a lot of Gwen's hits including Rick Girl, Don't Speak and The Sweet Escape.

They wanted to use the special HOV4 lane, but you need four people to use the lane. So they decided to call a couple of friends so they could use the carpool lane. First up was George Clooney, but they still only had three people. So he called a friend (Julia Roberts) who only agreed to come when he said Gwen Stefani was in the car.

At that point the four of them broke into a rousing version of "Hollaback Girl." Clooney really got into it. James wanted to know what Hollaback Girl meant. George thought it was when constructions workers whistle at a girl, and she would never holla back. Gwen said she would never explain what the song means. But she would say, "I won."

After a discussion of George and Julia's favorite lines from their movies, they inexplicably segued into "We are the Champions" by Queen. We can only imagine what the nearby drivers thought about these four belting out Queen at the tops of their lungs. It was hilarious and awesome. Nothing like a back seat full of singing Oscar winners to start your day. Take a look:
