Gal Gadot Talks Zack Snyder, Bond Audition Offer with W Magazine

Posted on April 12, 2017

Gal Gadot covers the May 2017 issue of W magazine. Gal Gadot starred as Wonder Woman in the Batman v Superman movie. She will reprise her role in the standalone Wonder Woman movie, which arrives in theaters on June 2.

Gal wears a Burberry trench coat on the cover of the issue. The cover shoot was photographed by Craig McDean and styled by Edward Enninful. She also models looks from Gucci, Hermes, Prada, Diane von Furstenberg, Bottega Veneta, Michael Kors and more in the W cover shoot.

In the interview, Gal says she put on Beyonce to stay focused for her Wonder Woman audition. She says, "The director, Zack Snyder, asked me to do a camera test. That was torture. They were looking at six or seven girls, and we were all in separate trailers and were told to stay inside until they called us. Waiting is my enemy Number One, and I was losing my mind. So, I decided to put on Beyonce. Who runs the world? Girls! I just started to dance, and I let my anxiety go. Thank you, Beyonce."

Gal says she turned down the offer to audition for a Bond role. She says, "I said, "No way," Gadot recalled, as she placed stars around her cake. “I said, 'I'm studying law and international relations. I'm way too serious and smart to be an actress, and besides, the script is all in English.' I spoke English, but I wasn't comfortable with it."

In this video of the interview, Gal Gadot says The Princess Bridge was her favorite movie. She also says she was a very reluctant pageant queen. She says she never thought she would win and it scared her win she did. Take a look:
