Disney's Frozen Fever short will air in front of the live-action film, Cinderella, which arrives in theaters on March 13, 2015. Cinderella is directed by Kenneth Branagh and stars Lily James as Cinderella. You can watch the trailer here.
Frozen was so popular that the short film will likely help get people in theaters for Cinderella. Frozen made $400 million at the the U.S. box office alone. The Frozen holiday toys, such as the Snow Glow Elsa Doll, were also a big hit with kids over the 2014 holidays. Characters from the hit animated film can also be seen in ABC's series, Once Upon a Time.
In Frozen Fever Elsa and Kristoffa are planning a huge birthday celebration for Anna. Elsa's icy powers make the party planning difficult. Olaf also isn't helping by trying to eat the delicious birthday cake beforehand. Olaf is stuffing a piece of Anna's birthday cake in the still above. He isn't supposed to be doing that.
Disney released this featurette which provides a special look at Frozen Fever with Frozen directors Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee. The directors say the short is set just a few months after the movie. The reason Elsa's icy powers are acting up is because she has a cold. You wouldn't want to be around her if she had to sneeze. Take a look:
