Trailer for Foxcatcher Starring Steve Carell and Channing Tatum
Posted on May 19, 2014
Here is the trailer for Foxcatcher which is based on a true, very bizarre story. Steve Carell plays John du Pont an eccentric and mentally unstable multi-millionaire who decides he wants to be a wrestling coach.
He recruits two brothers who wrestle, Mark Schultz (Channing Tatum) and Dave Schultz (Mark Ruffalo) and begins to train them for the Seoul Olympics. The brothers' intense rivalry gets worse and things get really dangerous as Du Pont gets obsessive and violent, leading to tragic consequences.
The film is based on Mark Schultz's autobiography. Carell is nearly unrecognizable in the role due to great makeup and prosthetics. It's a very disturbing story and the trailer looks pretty intense. The film just premiered at the Cannes Film Festival and Carell's incredible performance already has Oscar buzz. Take a look:
