Fox Delays Wall Street Sequel
Posted on March 17, 2010
Variety reports that Fox has decided to postpone the release of the Wall Street sequel starring Michael Douglas, Carey Mulligan, Shia LaBeouf and Josh Brolin.
Money Never Sleeps will now have a release date of September 24th instead of April 23. Fox apparently thinks the film is better suited for fall than summer.
In its new September slot, "Money Never Sleeps" shares the date with three other wide releases; Zach Snyder's 3D family pic "Legends of the Guardians" (Warner Bros.), Andy Fickman's comedy "You Again" (Disney) and Focus Features' historical pic "The Eagle of the Ninth," its most direct competish. "Ninth" toplines Channing Tatum, Jamie Bell and Donald Sutherland. The delay is a shame because we were looking forward to seeing it. Now we have to wait several more months for our Gordon Gekko fix.
