Owen Wilson and Ed Helms Search for Their Real Father in First Bastards Trailer

Posted on September 16, 2016

Owen Wilson and Ed Helms play brothers looking for their long lost father in the first trailer for the comedy Bastards. When talking to their mother (Glenn Close) during her wedding she confesses that everything she told them about their father was a lie. She told them he died of colon cancer so Ed's character became a proctologist. Devastated by the news, but heartened by the fact that their father is still somewhere out there, they set out on a road trip to find him.

On the road they decided to pick up a hitchhiker (Katt Williams). Nervous that he might be a serial killer, they agree to transport him if he agrees to be tied up on the back seat. They narrow their search to several candidates, played by NFL Hall of Fame quarterback Terry Bradshaw, Ving Rhames, and J.K. Simmons.

The film was directed by Lawrence Sher from, a screenplay by Justin Malen. It is set for release on January 27, 2016. Take a look:
