Eragon Flies Into Theaters
Posted on December 15, 2006
Eragon, the film adaptation of the first book in the bestselling fantasy trilogy by Christopher Paolini, opens nationwide today. So far, the reviews have been pretty harsh.
But there are legions of fans of the books, so they may just ignore the critics and head to the theaters.
We're thinking that Charlotte's Web which stars Julia Roberts as the voice of Charlotte the Spider, Dakota Fanning as Fern and Dominic Scott Kay as Wilbur the talking pig, is going to walk away with the box office for this one. The reviews for this one have been stellar across the board, with Julia Roberts coming in for extra praise for her turn as the spider who uses web advertising to turn an ordinary pig into something extraordinary.
