Duck Dynasty Ratings Plunge Again
Posted on January 23, 2014
Duck Dynasty has suffered another ratings plunge. The season five opener for Duck Dynasty fell 28% compared to the season 4 premiere.
Now the third episode of Ducky Dynasty this season has received its lowest ratings since 2012. The episode, "The Life of Si," was watched by 6.65 million people. The Hollywood Reporter says the series average 9.4 million viewers an episode last year, so this is about a 30% drop from last year's ratings.
There are about three million less people watching A&E's reality show about duck hunter. 6.5 million people still seems like an absurd amount of people to tune into a duck hunting show. If ratings keep tumbling maybe it will encourage A&E to add some more fiction to its offerings.
