SNL's Tarantino Movie Trailer: Djesus Uncrossed Starring Christoph Waltz
Posted on February 17, 2013
Oscar winner Christoph Waltz hosted Saturday Night Live and did a fantastic job. Perhaps inspired by Waltz, the writers really stretched themselves this week. They took a lot of risks. In this shocking faux movie trailer we see clips from Quentin Tarantino's latest film, DJesus Uncrossed which is cross between Inglorious Basterds and Django Unchained.
The historical revenge fantasy stars Waltz as Jesus Christ. After his resurrection, he goes seeking revenge against the Romans who killed him. "He's risen from the dead, and he's preaching anything but forgiveness," intones the narrator.
When a shocked Roman sees him resurrected and exclaims, "Jesus H. Christ" Djesus replies "The H is silent." Brad Pitt (Taran Killam) plays Saint Peter, Ving Rhames (Kenan Thompson) plays Pontius Pilot, and Samuel L. Jackson (Jay Pharoah) plays Judas Iscariot in the bloody tale which one critic calls "a less violent version of The Passion of the Christ." It's brilliantly offensive. Take a look:
