Disney to Offer Cruella and Black Widow on Disneyplus Same Day as Theater Release

Disney has announced that two of its big upcoming films - Cruella and Black Widow - will be offered to Disney+ subscribers on the same date they arrive in theaters. Disney did the same thing with Raya and The Last Dragon, which is available on Disney+ for $29.99 as a Premier Access feature for Disney+ subscribers.
Premier Dates for Cruella and Black Widow- Cruella - May 28 - in theaters and on Disney+
- Black Widow - July 9 - in theaters on on Disney+
Kareem Daniel, Chairman, Disney Media & Entertainment Distribution, says in the announcement, "Today's announcement reflects our focus on providing consumer choice and serving the evolving preferences of audiences. The simultaneous release has not hurt Raya and The Last Dragon which has topped the box office for three straight weeks.
Disney also announced updated release dates for the following films:
- Free Guy - August 13, 2021
- Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings - September 3, 2021
- The King's Man - December 22, 2021
- Deep Water - January 14, 2022
- Death on the Nile - February 11, 2022
- Jungle Cruise Tops Weekend Box Office
- A Quiet Place Part II Tops Memorial Day Box Office
- Godzilla vs. Kong Tops Box Office
