Disney and Offspring Entertainment Acquire Film Rights to Matched

Variety reports that Disney and Offspring Entertainment have partnered to acquire film rights to Ally Condie's young adult novel called Matched, which arrives in bookstore on November 30th.

Adam Shankman and Jennifer Gibgot are set to produce the first installment of a planned trilogy.

The books have are set in a world where society dictates what people can read, watch and believe. A Matching Ceremony takes place on each citizen's 18th birthday.
