Dianna Agron Blogs About Glee Gone Wild Photoshoot
Posted on October 21, 2010
Dianna Agron has posted her thoughts about the recent "Glee Gone Wild" photoshoot shot by Terry Richardson for GQ on her Tumblr blog. Dianna plays Quinn Fabray on Glee. She's both a cheerleader and a Glee club member.
The photoshoot has many critics including Katie Couric, who says on her Notebook on CBS, "These very adult photos of young women who perform in a family show just seem so un-'Glee'-like. The program is already edgy in the right ways, these images don't really -- in my humble opinion -- fit the 'Glee' gestalt."
Dianna apologizes to those offended by the photoshoot. She seems to agree with some of the critics. She writes, "Glee is a show that represents the underdogs, which is a feeling I have embraced much of my own life, and to those viewers, the photos in GQ don't give them that same feeling. I understand completely."
Dianna also says "these aren't photos I am going to frame and put on my desk." Dianna says her dream photoshoot would be "in a treehouse, in a wild costume, war-paint and I'd be playing with my pet dragon." That does sound like it would be a very cool photoshoot, so long as Terry Richardson is not the photographer.
Dianna also that GQ asked the stars to play "very heightened versions of our school characters." She says they wanted "A 'Hit Me Baby One More Time' version."
