Here's a teaser trailer for Syfy's upcoming series Defiance. The show is set on Earth in the future. The Earth has been damaged severely due to interstellar war. Surviving humans and aliens work together to survive.

The show is set to premiere in April, 2013, as will a related multi-platform shooter MMO game. The show stars Grant Bowler, Julie Benz, Stephanie Leonidas, Tony Curran, Jaime Murray, Fionnula Flanagan, Mia Kirshner and Graham Greene.

The poster for the Syfy series says, "Watch the show. Play the game. Change the world." It will be interesting to see if the game/series combination will draw viewers and gamers. Take a look:
