The Dark Knight Rises Sets 2D Box Office Record

The Dark Knight Rises had the third largest weekend opening ever with a take of $160.9 million. It set a record for the largest 2D opening ever. Despite the record, the box office for the film was lower than that projected before the midnight theater shooting tragedy in Colorado.
