James Corden and Jim Parsons Recreate Kansas' Dust in the Wind Video

Jim Parsons joined James Corden for a hilarious recreation of the classic 1977 Kansas video "Dust in the Wind." It's an exact recreation of the look of the video, complete with 70s hair, ruffles, beards, violins and a lot of smoke. Corden and Parsons are actually singing and they do sound great.

James has a blond wig and a truly impressive ruffled pink shirt that somehow morphs into a full dress by the end of the video. Jim has an even more impressive wig, full of brown curls that grow ever longer as the video goes on. In fact, if he had any more hair he'd be a curly version of Cousin Itt from the Addams Family. Hey, it was the 70s. That's what music videos looked like and those ruffles and giant shirt collars really were all the rage.

Jim actually harmonizes with James, but only pretends to play the violin. The soulfully emote:

I close my eyes, only for a moment
And the moment's gone
All my dreams pass before my eyes, a curiosity
Dust in the wind
All they are is dust in the wind

Be sure to watch until the very end when the dust in the wind (or in this case a fog machine) causes Jim to collapses into a pile of curly brown hair and James to melt into a pile of pink ruffles. Take a look:
