Colin Farrell Freaks Out Vince Vaughn and Jimmy Fallon With His True Confession
Posted on June 21, 2015
Colin Farrell and Vince Vaughn agreed to play a game of True Confessions with Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show. the three were sitting at at table with coffee and cigarettes burning in an ash tray, just like in a cop show.
Each person has two confessions, one of which is true and one of which is a lie. The other two get to question the confessor to find out if he is lying or not and if the incident in question really happened. One would expect the "confessions" to be kind of silly or odd, and for Jimmy and Vince they were. Jimmy "confessed" that when he was a kid he got his head stuck in a fence for an hour. Finally his grandmother put mayonnaise all over his head and slid him out. That is why to this day he hates mayo.
Vince "confessed" that in middle school he played the Yul Brynner part in "The King and I." But Colin's "confession" was of a much more serious nature. His was, "When I was a late teen I got brought in for a questioning as a suspect in an attempted murder." When questioned closely he said he was in Australia when the police questioned him because he looked like the prime suspect in a nightclub murder.
The killer was never found. But Colin was released as a suspect when his friend wrote in his journal that they were at a party across town, high on ecstasy. By this time, Vince and Jimmy are laughing and kind of freaking out at the idea that it might be true. So Colin pulls out a perfect impression of murderer Robert Durst, which was hilarious.
Colin and Vince really got into grilling Jimmy over his fence incident. They have amazing chemistry, so we know the second season of True Detective is going to be amazing. The season premieres tonight on HBO. Colin plays a down on his luck cop. Vince is a ruthless business man.
