Chris Pratt Hosts SNL, Marvel Can't Fail

Saturday Night Live kicked off its 40th season with Chris Pratt hosting and Ariana Grande as the musical guest. Chris did a great job hosting. In his monologue he gave a shout out to his wife, Anna Faris, who has hosted the show twice. Anna also came on stage at the end of the show to give her hubby a kiss for job well done.

Chris stars in the Marvel blockbuster Guardians of the Galaxy and one of the funniest sketches was the Marvel Can't fail digital short. The voiceover notes that Marvel took an obscure comic book and turned Guardians into a blockbuster. Saying that "Marvel can't fail," the announcer explains Marvel's upcoming strategy for its next slate of film. They will simply point at random words from the dictionary and coming up with Creatures of the Cosmos in which a pastry chef, a Harlem Globetrotter, a real estate sign spinner and an office chair save the world.

But that's just the beginning. Next up is Marvel's Bus People a thriller about "the first four people found on a city bus." After that is our favorite Marvel's Pam and Pam 2: the Winter Pam which stars an average woman (Aidy Bryant). No one knows or cares who she is, and it will still make $3 billion. Oh, and there's Shopping Carts. That's bound to be a hit. As for Chris Pratt dressed as Princess Leia in the Marvel Star Wars remake, well, he rocks a mean double ear bun.
