Captain America Wins Weekend Box Office

Captain America: The First Avenger was a big hit in theaters this weekend. The film, based on a Marvel comic, stars Chris Evans at Captain America. Captain America's $65.8 million box office take was almost exactly the same as Thor's $65.7 million opening in May.
The final Harry Potter movie, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2, added another $48 million to bring its 2-week U.S. box office to $274 million. The overseas box office for Deathly Hallows Part 2 is an impressive $560 million. The film has already grossed over $834 million worldwide and will easily sail pass the $1 billion mark.
Friends with Benefits, starring Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis, performed well. It made $18.5 million and opened in third place.
