Ben Barnes Joins the Boston Mob in By the Gun Trailer

British actor Ben Barnes is best known for playing Prince Caspian in The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian and The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. Now he's shaking things up by playing a young man who wants to be part of the Boston mob.

Barnes stars with Leighton Meester in By the Gun, a crime thriller which also stars Harvey Keitel. Barnes plays Nick Tortano, a guy that is determined to be a made man. He eventually gets what he wants, but after helping the aging mob rise to prominence again things get sticky. Nick is asked to do things he really doesn't want to do and he's made a lot of enemies during his rise to the top.

Leighton Meester plays Ali Matazano, the girl that catches Nick's eye. But Nick's boss, mobster Salvatore Vitaglia (Harvey Keitel), is not a fan. The film also stars Toby Jones, Kenny Wormald, Ritchie Coster and Slaine.

The film was written by Emilio Mauro and directed by James Mottern. The song heard in the trailer is "Heartstrings," the title track from Leighton's new album Heartstrings, which will drop on iTunes on October 27th. You can hear the entire album for free now at Elle.com. Here is the trailer:
