First Black Swan Poster Revised, With Horrifying Results
Posted on September 3, 2010
Apparently the studio was not happy with the first promotional poster for Black Swan starring Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis. The Photoshop guys gave Natalie top billing by moving her name over the other stars' names. That makes sense. She is the star and her performance has amazing buzz from the Venice Film Festival. But what Photoshop giveth, Photoshop taketh away.
In the second poster (on the right), Natalie's eyes are now gold, instead of red. Her head has been completely reshaped to be taller and skinnier. She looks much older. They moved the position of the tiara so her hairline is different. Her neck has been elongated and corded muscles now show. It's absolutely hideous: it doesn't even look like Natalie Portman. What were they thinking?
An image of Natalie wearing her Rodarte ballerina cotume was released earlier. The release date for the movie is December 1st.
A new poster can be seen on EW.
The International posters for the film are much cooler than the U.S. posters as you can see on Slashfilm.
