Ben Affleck Wins Best Director at 2013 Golden Globes

It was a big night for Ben Affleck at the 2013 Golden Globes. He won Best Director for Argo. His film also won Best Motion Picture, Drama. Affleck isn't nominated in the Best Director category at the Oscars, so he won't get to repeat his win there. However, Argo is nominated for Best Picture.
The award was announced by Halle Berry. Affleck beat Kathryn Bigelow, Ang Lee, Steven Spielberg and Quentin Tarantino. Affleck said during his acceptance speech, "Look, I don't care what the award is, when they put your name next to the names that she just read off, it's an extraordinary thing in your life."
