Arcana Pictures Options TV and Film Rights to Tim Powers' Last Call

Arcana Pictures has optioned the exclusive worldwide tv and film rights to author Tim Powers' novel Last Call. Powers is the author of On Stranger Tides, which was the inspiration for the latest Pirates of the Caribbean film.

Last Call is a World Fantasy Award-winning novel set in the gritty paranormal underbelly of Las Vegas. The story weaves tales of ancient magic with violence-inducing tarot card poker games called Assumption. In the games, gamblers unknowingly find themselves wagering for their bodies, souls and immortality.
