Angry Birds Trailer Features Voices of Jason Sudeikis, Josh Gad and Danny McBride

The official teaser trailer for The Angry Birds Movie has been released. The film is based on the Angry Birds mobile game which became one of the first big mobile game hits in 2010. New versions of the game have been released at the pace of about two games per year ever since.
The animated film has major stars doing voice overs for the birds. The birds characters include Red (Jason Sudeikis), Mighty Eagle (Peter Dinklage), Chuck (Josh Gad), Matilda (Maya Rudolph) and Bomb (Danny McBride). The cute little blue Angry Birds, the Blues, are in the film as well. The top pig is voiced by Bill Hader.
The film is directed by Clay Kaytis and Fergal Reilly. The script was written by Jon Vitti.
The trailer has some funny moments and the film obviously has a great cast. The animation of the birds and pigs is excellent. We don't see any pig structures getting smashed apart in the trailer but that may still happen in the film. In the trailer the birds do not seem to have even heard of pigs before.
The film arrives in theaters next summer in May 2016. The film probably should have been released a couple years ago closer to the Angry Bird's popularity peak. Michael Jackson's "Bad" song can be heard in the trailer. Take a look:
