Amazon Studios Offers Pilots for 14 Shows
Posted on April 22, 2013
Amazon.com has shared the original pilots for 14 shows on its website. The shows include 6 kids' pilots and 8 comedy pilots. Amazon says it will let users decide which shows go on to become full-time shows. Not surprisingly, the new shows were some of the most streamed shows on Amazon Instant Video over the past weekend.
Amazon plans to turn the top four comedy series and top four children's series into full shows. Just two of the kids' shows will get canceled, but four (half) of the comedy pilots offered are not going to make it into a regular series. The pilots include Zombieland, which is based on the popular horror-comedy movie.
Here is a list of the comedy pilots:
- Alpha House: They work in the Senate. They live in the house--Alpha House.
- Betas: Four friends think they've cracked the code for Silicon Valley success.
- Browsers: Fresh-faced interns face the music, and sing along with it.
- Dark Minions: Rules, reports, a Galactic Overlord ... just another day at the office.
- Onion News Empire: Onion News Network journalists will do anything to stay on top.
- Supanatural: These divas are humanity's last line of defense.
- Those Who Can't: The most immature guys at this high school are teachers.
- Zombieland: Four survivors are killin' zombies and searching for a home.
