Amanda Seyfried to Star in I'm Mortal

Posted on July 12, 2010

Variety reports that Amanda Seyfried (pictured in a scene from Chloe) has been cast as the lead in I'm.mortal, a science fiction film from writer/director Andrew Niccol and New Regency films. In the I'm.mortal world everyone stops aging at age 25.

In "mortal," time has become the currency. The rich are immortal, while the rest struggle to stay alive.

When a rebel from the ghetto is falsely accused of murdering a wealthy man for his time, he is forced to go on the run with beautiful hostage (Seyfried). Together, this duo rages against the system, living minute to minute. They discover that love is more powerful than all the time in the world.

Variety says the lead actor has not yet been cast. Expect a young male lead since no one in the I'm.mortal universe can be over age 25. Heat Vision has more details about the film's futuristic plot. The aging gene has been turned off and time has become the currency.
