Posted on October 10, 2013
A&E Network is developing a series called The Returned. The series is based on the popular French series adapted by Fabrice Gobert and inspired by the feature film, Les Revenants. In the series, people in a small town start returning from the dead. The people have not aged and are unaware of their own fatality. Strange phenomena and gruesome murders occur as these formerly dead people try to resume their lives.
David McKillop, general manager and executive vice president of A&E Network, said in a release, "The Returned takes an incredibly unique approach, filled with suspense and twists and turns, to the subject of the living dead. Part mystery, part thriller; The Returned is a perfect complement to A&E's unique brand of scripted storytelling."
