Here is the trailer for the movie 21 Jump Street starring Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill. The trailer is funny, but it bears no resemblance whatsoever to the classic tv series that starred Johnny Depp as a youthful looking cop who would go undercover in high schools. Take a look:

For comparison purposes - we watched a clip from the original TV series. It featured undercover cop Johnny Depp smacking some kid in a hospital bed -- twice. The kis had been dealing drugs and Johnny doesn't like it. It has a totally different vibe from the new movie version, that's for sure. We're not sure you can even do this on tv anymore. Actually, we nearly fell off our chairs laughing at the actor's expression after he got faux-smacked by the future Oscar nominee. We wonder how his career went after this episode?
