Trailer for 12 Years a Slave Starring Chiwetel Ejiofor, Michael Fassbender and Brad Pitt

Here is the trailer for 12 Years a Slave which tells the true story of a free black man born in New York City. A talented violinist and carpenter, Solomon Northrup lived with his family in the north. But he was kidnapped and sold into slavery in the Deep South where he vowed to be free again.

Chiwetel Ejiofor stars as Northrup. Michael Fassbender is the slave owner who quotes Bible verses to justify his brutal treatment of his slaves -- as he calls them, "his possessions." Paul Giamatti, Brad Pitt, Benedict Cumberbatch, Paul Dano and Alfre Woodard co-star in the film. The film is directed by Steve McQueen, who directed Fassbender in Shame. Take a look:
